In 2020, during the pandemic, I reconnected with my childhood best friend, Naomi. Despite the distance between us, we promised to meet up soon. This February, after almost three years, I visited her in Southern California. Little did we know that this trip would evolve into something more significant.
Naomi was ready to make lifestyle changes, and overwhelmed by where to begin, she turned to me for guidance. Naomi's commitment was admirable as she immediately quit drinking soda cold turkey. Moreover, she expressed an eagerness to understand healthy living including movement and nutrition. We ventured to various grocery stores, and I introduced Naomi to my favorite foods and shared my simple meal prep techniques as well as how to dine out in a healthy way. In addition, I stressed the importance to including more movement into her days and we focused on core strengthening exercises that can be truly transformative for women who have been living with persistent back and neck pain since giving birth, even if it has been decades.
The advancements in women's fitness and healthcare have been incredible, highlighting the crucial understanding that many women have missed out on vital postnatal rehabilitation. This lack of proper care often leads to enduring weakness, incontinence and pain affecting their overall well-being.
At the Lifestyle Reset Wellness Retreat, I am committed to bridging this gap and offering effective solutions to address these long-standing physical issues. I will guide you through targeted exercises and personalized strategies that can bring relief and strength to your core.
Inspired by working with Naomi, I embarked on becoming a Mayo Clinic Certified Wellness Coach, course work I am currently completing. Our shared journey has been so impactful that we now aspire to replicate this experience and invite others to join us.
